Consulting
I am a software developer with a diverse set of skills and expertise, which I offer as part of my consulting services. My areas of experience include, but are not limited to:
The Linux graphics stack. I have worked on display servers, window managers and user facing applications. I am deeply familiar with Wayland, including protocol development and custom implementations.
Data pipelines in scientific and industrial lab settings. I have worked on real-time data evaluation for electron microscopes, including fully custom software for timepix3 cameras. I have helped stream-line data analysis solutions for research groups.
Image manipulation. I have worked on custom photography software, including decoding niche file formats, demosaicking, and applying tone curves.
Virtual machines. I have implemented virtual machines based on specifications and worked with low-level byte code.
Systems programming. I do not mind getting my hands dirty in the lower levels of the computing stack. I am deeply familiar with C and other low-level languages, like Zig, as well as with the APIs and interfaces of operating systems like Linux.
Free / Open Source Software. I have worked on and contributed to open source projects for many years. I understand the ins and outs of the ecosystem and how to communicate and collaborate with other contributors and maintainers.
